Curanderismo
How it works
Curanderismo is a traditional form of healing from South America. It treats the soul, the spirit and the connection with this aspect of self to the physical body. .
Many of the practices in this tradition are based on the concept of heavy energies getting stuck in the body. The use of obsidian tools, herbs such as basil and rosemary, roses, eucalyptus and even eggs are used to remove these energies and create balance.
Heavy energy in the body can originate through trauma, thinking patterns, taking on other peoples energy or emotions, generational energies and sometimes the origin is unknown.
One of the most sacred substance we use in Curanderismo is called Copal. When it is burned the smoke it produces is used to receive and to send messages to the spirit world. It is also used to cleanse the spirit and the body of heavy and foreign energies.
Soul loss from trauma is also a core belief in Curanderismo. It is believed that every time there is a shock or a trauma to the body a small part of a person’s soul leaves the body. If there is too much loss than that person will lose their life force.
Curanderismo practices allow the return of ones own energy and life force.
